New apartment!

I finally moved into my apartment!!! I moved from Sannomiya to Minatogawakoen (which is like moving from Manhattan to Utah). I live in the buuuurrrrrrbs. Jen came up to help me with my luggage, and we took the train to Mina. Lindsay met us at the station, and we took a taxi up this huge freakin hill to the apartment. It takes about 20 minutes on foot. I will definitely have some kick ass legs and tush in a few weeks.

Jen and I went back into Sannomiya for dinner. We ate goza, which is Japanese for effin' delicious. (Not really). They're just dumplings, but SO GOOD. Then we wandered around the food markets below Sogo (a department store) for a while. We were both tired, so we went our own ways, and now I'm back home. I might go BACK to Sannomiya in a few hours though to meet up with some friends!

On the subway back, I boarded and took a seat. Then three elderly women got on, and two of them sat beside me. So, being the Southern mannered person I am, I stood up and offered my seat to the third woman, saying "Dozo, dozo" ("Please, please"). She looked shocked, and took the seat offering many thanks. It made me happy. Hopefully she told her friends "Look how kind that foreign girl is!" or something to that effect.

So now I'm back at the apartment, with all this lugggage and absolutely no motivation to unpack yet. I'll post pics soon.
