Oli and Nika's Wedding

Sunday, I rode my bike from my apartment to Minatogawa Shrine, to shoot some photos for Oli & Nika's wedding. Oli is a friend of Gordon's, and I met them both last year at the Suma Beach Party. It was incredibly hot, but a beautiful wedding, and the reception was a blast!

Walking into the shrine.

Oli's mom said it was her right to thrown flower petals at the happy couple. I couldn't agree more.

Everyone was clapping and cheering.

New Year's Shrine Visit

Saturday, Ayako and I went to Minatogawa Shrine for New Years. It was SO CROWDED! There were food tents and people selling toys too. I bought a few good luck charms.

People tying their bad omikuji (fortunes) to a tree.

Ayako got a bad fortune, so she tied it to the tree.

I got a small blessing fortune, so I kept it.

This guy was selling something boiling in conch shells. I have no idea if it was actually conch or something else.
